Hannah Isabelle Covington - shaken at 20 months - Angel
Idaho Falls, Idaho
Below is Hannah's Story written by her family.
Hannah Isabelle Covington was born March 13, 2007 in Pocatello, Idaho. She was welcomed into the loving arms of her parents, Al and Diana, and her big brother, Brody. Hannah was a beautiful baby girl that brought joy to every member of her extended family as well. To say she was a cherished little girl does not do justice to the amount of love that surrounded her.
As with any baby, Hannah grew out of the newborn stage very quickly and her own special little personality began to surface. She had delightful strawberry blonde curly hair and blue eyes that you could get lost in. She soon became known to her family as their “little bulldog” because when she was not impressed with something or somebody she would stick out her bottom lip, roll her eyebrows and give a look that gave life to what she was thinking. Her bottom lip was a forced to be reckoned with.
Hannah was the youngest member of the group of cousins that she and her brother, Brody, spent hours with. Even as an infant Hannah had her eyes on the “big kids.” She watched as they played, fought and ran amuck. Her blues eyes sparkled as she watched them making it clear that as soon as her legs would allow she was going to be chasing them down. Once she was able to walk Hannah was not a quitter when it came to keeping up with the “big kids.” She would simply hunch her shoulders and run after them. She looked like a tiny football player heading to sack the quarterback when she was on a mission to catch the other children.
Nov. 26, 2008, began as so many other mornings begin for numerous families. Diana was getting herself and the kids ready to go to daycare and work. Who could have ever imagined that morning as Hannah sat reading “I’m a Little Teapot” to her baby doll that before the day was done our precious little angel would be dead?
