Pre-Conference NCSBS x NYC OCME Collaboration: Baby Bootcamp for Trauma Investigators

This symposium will provide invaluable training and information for medical, legal, judicial, and law enforcement professionals on the basics of pediatric trauma investigation.

Attendees of this conference will learn:

• The fundamentals of medical findings/injuries commonly associated with sudden, unexplained death in babies and toddlers.
• How the quality of the police investigation impacts the interpretation of the medical findings/injuries in abby and toddler fatality cases
• Medical, legal and law enforcement investigative approaches through case examples.

For any organizations or persons interested in registering an exhibit booth at the Nineteenth International Conference on Shaken Baby Syndrome / Abusive Head Trauma, information on fees, set-up and registration is below.

Exhibit Fees

The rate to exhibit at the conference is $500 for organizations and $250 for nonprofit organizations. This fee can be processed via credit card or check. All payment must be received prior to the conference. This exhibit fee does not include registration to the conference. If interested in attending the keynote presentations, breakout session and access to the breaks, you can register in the above Registration Section.

Exhibit Set-Up

A standard exhibit space includes the following amenities:

• 1 6’ draped table
• 1 electrical outlet (upon request only)
• 2 chairs

Abstract Submission

Interested in presenting at the Nineteenth International Conference on Shaken Baby Syndrome/Abusive Head Trauma? Join other world-renowned experts and share your latest research, policies, investigative techniques, legal expertise and prevention efforts focused on shaken baby syndrome/abusive head trauma.

The NCSBS is now accepting abstracts for workshop and poster presentations. The program planning committee is looking for abstracts to present from the following areas of expertise: 

• Latest medical diagnostic and treatment of SBS/AHT cases
• Investigative and legal procedures and techniques
• Evidence-based and creative SBS/AHT prevention initiatives and programs
• Support for families and rehabilitation for victims of SBS/AHT

All contact information must be included as well as a thorough biography. The abstract will need to be submitted as a separate document with a word minimum of 150 words and a maximum of 1000. It must be in a word or PDF format. Please note: presentations with commercial interest will not be accepted.

Accepted abstract presenters will be responsible for own travel and registration costs. Co-authors presenting must also register for the conference.
